Align
Before proceeding to read this page, please read the brief overview on the Six Life-Supportive Concepts System here.
Without alignment, change is often a conflicting, frustrating, and self-sabotaging experience.
No living and thriving system in the Universe is closed, so it is important for us to know how to interact with and contribute to others, society, and the world. Alignment is an on-going process to promote congruence, so that all communication and actions be clear and well-received by all systems involved. The sooner we begin the alignment process, the sooner we will feel the positive effects of congruence.
The health of any system depends on how integrated (whole) it is as opposed to how divided or conflicted it is. In the process of alignment, we are guided to harmonise polarities in our lives: family and work, “I” and “we,” freedom and security, man and nature, compassion and protection, material and spiritual, and so on. By harmonising these polarities we become more whole and therefore healthier. The presupposition of Homo chrysalis in Chapter 15 is vital to the concept of alignment because as we turn inwards to transform our world, we must have faith in facing the dark and challenging process of transformation. Once transformed, the new humans have a greater felt sense of connection to the collective consciousness, are able to process information integrally and transpersonally, to perceive subtler energies and higher dimensional realities; they live a more spiritually active and all-embracing existence, and carry out their daily activities in harmony with themselves, other species, and the environment. Having a clear and vivid vision is crucial in energising our hearts, minds, and bodies to be the change in the world.
Through alignment, in Taoist healing, the flow of chi is enhanced as the major accupressure points of the body become aligned, and thus the body can heal itself with more ease.
