The Choices of Now Project
…and how you can be a part of it.

The main purpose of Choices of Now is to get people to take immediate action in view of co-creating a sustainable future for humanity and our planet. So, after conducting an extensive research, we want to share with you what actions, specifically, you can take today to start supporting life on earth and ensuring our species’ upward evolution.
The five actions that we recommend you take are very simple and easy to implement.
What you want to do is:
(a) choose any three actions in the list below;
(b) do the three chosen actions consistently, for three months;
(c) once you have started to do them, encourage three other people you know to join you; these three people will each reach out to three other people, and so on;
(d) help them with their chosen actions if possible.
Five Simple Life-Supportive Acts
(1) Clear out your storeroom and give the things you no longer use to people in need.
(2) Have at least one or two vegetarian meals every day.
(3) Cut down air-conditioning, electricity, and water usage as much as possible and grow more plants/trees at home.
(4) Practice random acts of kindness every day (smile, help someone by carrying their bags, offer your seat, share your umbrella on a rainy day, buy a less fortunate person a meal, tell someone you appreciate them; the possibilities are endless).
(5) Stop shopping for “wants.” Buy only what you need. Remember, what you choose to buy is your vote for what you want to see in our world.
As you can see, anyone can do the actions above.
The reasons why you can make an immediate positive difference with these acts are thoroughly and extensively explained in Choices of Now – the book. However, let us take a closer look at the impact of your participation in this project: if you reach out to three people, and they each reach out to three people, who help three others, and so on, billions of people can be actively involved in making our world a better place within 20 months! Life-supportiveness can ripple out quickly and pervasively, and we could experience what it is like to be part of a single global community, with a common vision to heal our planet.
The Science Behind It
This project is based on the scientifically validated idea that a big change can come from a high leveraging of small acts, if we carry them out consistently. You can read more about this in chapter 14 in our book, where we refer to the chaos theory and the butterfly effect , and in chapter 15, where we talk about the spiritual science of tipping points . So it is not necessary for us to make herculean efforts individually, nor does every person on earth need to be part of this project, because when a critical mass is reached, our collective consciousness will spontaneously reorganise our multi-systems to create a new world order.
What’s in It for You?
By doing these small and simple acts consistently for three months, you are not only contributing positive change to the world, you are also improving your own world because “our world” includes you: we are inseparably united as the web of life connects us all. You create more space in your life, you free up the time and energy that kept you in the trance of consumerism, you build a stronger connection with your loved ones, you improve your health and overall state of mind, and you reduce the toxic impact of food and other products on your body, home, and environment. Furthermore, you significantly cut down on your monthly expenditure, which enables you to use money in more enriching ways; your faith in humanity is restored and you feel a true sense of connection to the world. The actions you choose will lead to a shift in your daily routine and priorities, which positively change your relationship with others and the world; ultimately, your life is brimming with life-supportiveness.
We hope that after three months of life-supportive activities, you will notice how much your life has improved and you will want to continue sustaining your actions. In alignment with the Six Life-Supportive Concepts System, we strongly encourage you to share your discoveries and strategies on our forum, under the “Community” tab on this website; it is an act of resonating with the growing life-supportive community around the world. We urge you to add on more of the life-supportive practices suggested in Chapter 18 of the book and in the Practices section on this website, in an incremental way, so that together with an increasing like-minded community, we can realise our common dream of leading a sustainable life, in harmony with nature and all sentient beings, on a thriving, green, and beautiful planet.
